CSC (NYSE: CSC) has entered into an agreement to sell its consulting and systems integration services business to?Dedagroup ICT Network?for an undisclosed amount.
Dedagroup will acquire CSC?s pan-Italian consulting and systems integration projects and fashion industry software products and services.
CSC will retain its corporate financial services products, solutions and services for international?accounts.
?We will transition parts of our business in Italy to a reliable and well-regarded Italian IT services company and help?ensure a smooth transition for employees and clients,? said
Claude Czechowski, CSC vice president and general manager for the south and west Region.
In Italy, CSC will continue to provide a select portfolio of services to multinational companies?including cloud, financial services, infrastructure, business process outsourcing and healthcare offerings.
CSC said this agreement advances its transformation strategy to?re-balance?its business portfolio with more specialized global solutions.
The local anti-trust authority will review the agreement while local labor unions have been informed of the planned sale.
CSC expects to finalize the agreement within 60 days.
